Our good friend, Shoji-san who is a long distance runner, would be a team captain of a checkroom at Tokyo Dome on the race day. He will organize some Nambanners to a team of baggage-keeping work for runners. Shoji-san and his gang will wear red colored windbreaker as race official members. He has already taken classes that has been held by the race sponcor for an important work. The race sponsor will prepare 38 of 11t trucks to transport a baggage of participants. They put 800 baggage on each truck. A bag which will be used for participants is 80x60cm size. Therefore, please do not worry Shoji-san and his gang by your huge clothing and huge towels. Lots of Nambanners will run and some Nambanners will work as administration staffs. Both people would make the Tokyo Marathon an honorable legend of Namban
p.s. Mostly 5 staff of a transportation company (Nittsu) and 8 volunteers (like Shoji-san) will support each truck for baggage transportation. A transportation team will be organized by 13 people! They have already spent 5 days for meetings and trials to carry out the conveyance by truck smoothly. Professor Usami, who ran 3 marathon races in Olympic games, is the leader of the volunteers. Thanks a lot.

This will be my first point to point marathon, so I ma a little nervous about the baggage collection at the end. But I trust Shoji and his excellent colleagues to do a superb job.
